From Australia to Europe, countries move to curb children's social media access
Concerned about children's mental health and safety, countries around the world are implementing age limits and restrictions on social media. Regulations have already been introduced in nations such as Australia, Greece, and Indonesia, with others following suit. In Bangladesh, too, demands have been raised to ban social media use for those under the age of 16. However, experts argue that a ban alone will not solve the problem; it is also crucial to ensure age verification, parental supervision, time limits, safe content, and opportunities for alternative entertainment for children.
