What happened in the 90-minute phone call between Trump and Putin?

US President Donald Trump has taken a new initiative to resolve the Ukraine war. He spoke for 90 minutes with Russian President Vladimir Putin and separately with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Although Trump has proposed a ceasefire and a political solution, Russia and Ukraine are still adamant on their respective positions on the Donbas issue. As a result, while the prospect of peace has opened up, all eyes are now on the NATO summit for final progress.
