Dhaka Education Board directs HSC centres to provide seating, shelters for guardians
The directives were issued to the officers-in-charge of all examination centres under the Dhaka Education Board through an official order.
The Dhaka Education Board (DEB) has directed all Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination centres under its jurisdiction to install waiting sheds or shelters with chairs outside the centres to ease the sufferings of guardians waiting during the ongoing examinations.
The board also instructed the authorities concerned to deploy Rover Scouts, Girl Guides and Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) members to maintain discipline and prevent unwanted crowds outside the examination centres.
The directives were issued to the officers-in-charge of all examination centres under the Dhaka Education Board through an official order.
According to the order, inspections of different examination centres found that guardians remain outside for long hours after examinees enter the centres.
It said that the absence of waiting sheds or seating arrangements at most centres causes hardship for guardians, who have to wait in scorching heat or rain.
