Is Israel fighting a hidden cyber war with Iran?
Iranian cyberattacks against Israel have reportedly tripled in 2026, according to Israel's National Cyber Directorate. Director General Yossi Karadi says around 4,800 hostile cyber incidents were recorded in June, targeting critical infrastructure, organisations, the public, and small businesses. While Israeli authorities say key infrastructure has been protected, smaller firms have faced significant disruption. Israel attributes the attacks to Iran, while Iran denies involvement and says it is also a victim of cyberattacks.
