Due to the upstream hill slopes and the opening of the gates of the Gazoldoba Barrage, the water of the Teesta River in North Bengal, Bangladesh, has started flowing above the danger level again. To control the situation, the Water Development Board has opened 44 sluice gates of the Dalia Teesta Barrage in Lalmonirhat.
