Attacking firepower sets the tone
France, Germany and the Netherlands have emerged as the most prolific attacking sides of the group stage, each scoring 10 goals.
Argentina captain Lionel Messi leads the scoring chart with six goals, underlining his continued influence on the global stage.
Germany's 7–1 win over Curaçao stands as both the highest-scoring match of the tournament (eight goals) and the biggest winning margin (six goals), reinforcing their attacking dominance in the group phase.

Despite the attacking trend, Spain and Mexico have set the defensive benchmark, keeping three clean sheets each and conceding no goals in the group stage.
Spain have also dominated possession metrics, recording a tournament-high 74% against Cape Verde, alongside the highest passing accuracy at 92%, reflecting their control-based approach.
In goal, Curaçao's Eloy Room delivered the standout individual performance, making 15 saves against Ecuador.
Discipline has been a growing concern. Paraguay and Curaçao have collected seven yellow cards each, while the Mexico vs South Africa fixture produced the tournament's most volatile disciplinary outing with three red cards. South Africa and Qatar have both already recorded two red cards.

Only three teams – Argentina, France and Mexico – have completed the group stage with perfect records, strengthening their status as early contenders.
