Woman's half-decomposed body recovered from flat in Mirpur's Kazipara

Police recovered the half-decomposed body of a woman from a rented apartment in the Kazipara area of Mirpur in the capital today (16 June).
The deceased was identified as Rabeya, 24, also known as Jenny Khan. Her body was recovered from a seventh-floor flat in a building adjacent to Kazipara Metro Station around noon.
Confirming the incident, Kafrul Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sajjad Hossain said Rabeya had rented the apartment in April with a man named Munna, with the two introducing themselves as husband and wife to the building owner.

"The building owner alerted police after foul odours were emanating from the flat. Police, along with members of the Fire Service, broke open the door and recovered Rabeya's partially decomposed body from a bed in the bedroom," the OC said.
"The body has been sent for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, police are searching for Munna," the OC added.
