Bangladesh envoy meets Indian Army chief, discusses deeper defence cooperation
The meeting between Dwivedi and Hamidullah took place ahead of Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman’s proposed visit to India next week.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Riaz Hamidullah today (2 April) called on Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi in New Delhi and discussed ways to enhance bilateral defence cooperation.
"During the interaction, they deliberated on enhancing bilateral defence cooperation, including joint training initiatives. They also explored opportunities for deeper collaboration aimed at promoting regional peace and security," the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) of the Indian Army said in a post on its official X account.
