Giant Group hosts inter-company futsal tournament Giant Cup 2026
Mavis Garments Ltd won the tournament, defeating the Head Office team in the final at Bashundhara Sports City.
Giant Group has concluded its inter-company corporate futsal tournament, Giant Cup 2026, aiming to promote teamwork, collaboration and a stronger workplace culture among its employees.
The tournament was held at Bashundhara Sports City, with three teams representing different units of the company – Head Office (HO), Giant Textiles Ltd (GTL) and Mavis Garments Ltd (MGL), according to a press release.
Mavis Garments Ltd emerged as champions after defeating the Head Office team in the final, while the HO team finished as runners-up.

Hosted by Giant Group Director Ashaab Adeeb Hassan, the tournament began with an opening ceremony on 26 July.
The group-stage matches were held on 26, 28 and 29 July before the final match.
The event was attended by Giant Group Chairman Feroz M Hassan, Managing Director Faruque Hassan, who is also chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bangladesh University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) and former president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), along with other senior officials and guests.
Other attendees included Mrs Amena Feroz, Mrs Sharmeen Hassan Tithi, SM Majedur Rahim, Azfar Ankon Hassan, Texmart Managing Director Mushfiq M Hassan, Texmart Chief Stylist Tanzila Shirin, Begum Badrunnesa Government Girls' College lecturer Shammin Sultana and Nameera Shamma Rahim.
The tournament was organised under the leadership of Md Shamsuddin, AGM of HR, Admin and Compliance at Giant Group, with support from Mir Ishrat Arefin, Rafid Hasan Shishir, Rakibul Hasan, Md Nazmul Huda and Abu Bakar Siddik.
