WUB ranks 50th globally in quality education category
World University of Bangladesh has been ranked in the 601-800 band globally in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, according to a press release issued by the university.
The university placed fourth among all public and private universities in Bangladesh.
World University of Bangladesh ranked 50th globally for Sustainable Development Goal 4 — Quality Education — and secured the second place among Bangladeshi institutions in this category.
The university also achieved positions within the 101-200 global ranking bands for Sustainable Development Goal 1 — No Poverty, Sustainable Development Goal 2 — Zero Hunger, Sustainable Development Goal 6 — Clean Water and Sanitation, Sustainable Development Goal 10 — Reduced Inequalities, and Sustainable Development Goal 15 — Life on Land.
The recognition, the university said, reflects its efforts in quality education, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and community well-being.
The achievement, according to the university, is the result of the collective efforts of its students, faculty members, researchers, alumni, officers, and staff.
World University of Bangladesh stated that its research initiatives, innovation, community engagement, volunteer activities, and sustainable practices have contributed to its mission to create positive social impact and advance sustainable development.
The university reaffirmed its commitment to advancing research and innovation, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening community partnerships, and fostering a sustainable and inclusive campus environment as part of its long-term vision.
The ranking, the university said, further strengthens its position as an institution focused on education and sustainability.
Guided by the vision "From Local Excellence to Global Impact", World University of Bangladesh said it will continue to empower students, promote innovation, and contribute to positive social change.
