UIU School of Business and Economics holds project show
United International University's School of Business and Economics held its "SoBE Project Show" at the university's campus in United City, Madani Avenue, Dhaka.
The event gave undergraduate students a platform to present business concepts, prototypes, and the regulatory structures needed to launch ventures in today's competitive market.
Professor Emeritus Dr M Rezwan Khan, Director of the Institute for Advanced Research and former Vice Chancellor of United International University; Professor Dr M Niaz Asadullah, Advisor - Adjunct, School of Business and Economics, United International University; Professor Dr Salma Karim, Director of the Bachelor of Business Administration Programme, United International University; and faculty members from various departments attended the event.
The university's leadership team toured the exhibition stalls, met with student teams, evaluated their business pitches, and shared industry insights.
United International University said the project illustrated the School of Business and Economics' devotion to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting national economic growth.
The exhibition culminated in practical coursework from two flagship courses: Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Development, taught by Nasrin Akter, Assistant Professor, and Business Law, taught by Jakowan, Assistant Professor, both from the School of Business and Economics at United International University.
Through integrating entrepreneurship and business law, the event encouraged students to develop market-ready business models and understand the legal compliance, licensing, and regulatory requirements needed for implementation.
The project illustrates the link connecting theoretical knowledge and practical entrepreneurial activity, extending learning beyond the classroom.
The university added that the initiative shows the School of Business and Economics' efforts to prepare students not only as job seekers, but also as future entrepreneurs.
