UCB concludes month-long entrepreneurship training programme
United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has concluded a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme in Ashulia.
The programme was organised under the "Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP)", implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance with funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The training was organised by UCB with support from the Bangladesh Bank.
Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director (SMESPD), Bangladesh Bank, and Deputy Programme Director (DPD), SICIP, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
Md Ridwanul Hoque, Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Distributions & Strategy of UCB, attended the event as a special guest, along with other senior officials of the bank.
The event was presided over by Mohammad Salim Chowdhury, Head of SME and Agri Banking Division of UCB.
A total of 25 aspiring entrepreneurs completed the month-long training programme.
UCB said the knowledge and skills gained through the programme are expected to help the participants establish and expand their businesses, contributing to the growth of Bangladesh's SME sector.
