Uber appoints SM Jamshed Hasan as Bangladesh country head
Uber has appointed SM Jamshed Hasan as country head for Bangladesh.
Jamshed brings around 15 years of experience in sales, business development, strategic partnerships and commercial leadership across fintech, logistics and insurance in Bangladesh, according to the press release.
He joins Uber from Wagely Bangladesh, where he most recently served as vice-president of business and growth.

During his more than two-year tenure at Wagely, he played a key role in the company's business expansion while also contributing to its regional business strategy.
Earlier in his career, Jamshed held commercial and business development roles at DHL, UPS and MetLife.
Through these roles, he built experience across enterprise sales, revenue growth, strategic partnerships and product development.
He was also recognised as DHL Asia Pacific Employee of the Year in 2017.
As Uber Bangladesh Country Head, Jamshed will lead the company's Bangladesh business, focusing on growth, market development and strategic partnerships.
He will also oversee the next phase of Uber's business development in Bangladesh.
