Trust Bank launches smart point, smart teller machine
Trust Bank PLC has unveiled its Smart Point, introducing Bangladesh's first Smart Teller Machine (STM) as part of its drive to accelerate digital banking and enhance customer convenience.
Chairman of Trust Bank PLC and Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc, inaugurated the Smart Point as chief guest.
Located at SKS Tower, Mohakhali, the Smart Point features both a Smart Teller Machine and a Cash Recycling Machine (CRM), enabling customers to access a comprehensive suite of banking services swiftly and conveniently.
The digital machines allow customers to instantly open accounts, receive debit cards, withdraw and deposit cash, apply for loans, generate account statements, and perform a range of other essential banking activities.
According to Trust Bank, the Smart Point operates as a digital branch, enabling customers to complete vital banking activities without visiting a traditional branch.
Trust Bank stated that the introduction of the STM—the first of its kind in Bangladesh—will enable customers to open accounts and receive debit cards instantly, significantly enhancing convenience and efficiency.
Managing Director and CEO Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, board members, senior Bangladesh Army officials, and executives from the head office were also present at the launch event.
Trust Bank noted that launching the Smart Point and STM underlines its commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and customer-centric banking. The bank plans to gradually roll out Smart Points at additional locations nationwide.
