State University ranked 9th among private universities in THE impact ratings
State University of Bangladesh has been ranked ninth among private universities in Bangladesh in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.
It also ranked 13th among all public and private universities nationwide and was placed in the global 1001–1500 band.
According to the university, this achievement highlights its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, quality education, research excellence, and positive social impact.
Professor Dr Md Akhter Hossain Khan, Vice-Chancellor of the State University of Bangladesh, welcomed the latest recognition.
"This continued recognition in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings is a matter of great pride for us. It reflects the collective efforts of our faculty members, students, researchers, administrators, and alumni," Professor Dr Md Akhter Hossain Khan said.
He congratulated faculty members, students, administrative staff, alumni, and well-wishers, saying their contributions made the achievement possible.
"We are not only working towards improving rankings; we are committed to building a sustainable, innovative, and socially responsible university. This achievement will further strengthen our journey towards excellence," Professor Dr Md Akhter Hossain Khan added.
The university authorities stated that the State University of Bangladesh has maintained a presence in international rankings over recent years, demonstrating progress in its global standing.
They added that this reflects the university's strength in academic quality, research capacity, and global competitiveness.
The State University of Bangladesh described the result as a collective success of the university community and expressed optimism about attaining higher positions in future rankings.
