Standard Islami Bank outlines growth strategy at Town Hall Meeting
Standard Islami Bank PLC Managing Director Riad Mahmud Chowdhury called for closer coordination across the bank, stronger adherence to Shari'ah principles and wider use of technology-driven services to achieve sustainable growth.
At the bank's Town Hall Meeting 2026, held under the theme "Horizons — Redefine Tomorrow" at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka on Friday (7 August), he made the call, according to a press release.
Branch heads from across the bank's network and senior executives from the head office attended.
Managing Director Riad Mahmud Chowdhury presided over the programme, and Additional Managing Director Md Siddiqur Rahman delivered the welcome address.
The programme featured an interactive session on the bank's business priorities, leadership development, and long-term growth strategy.
During an open forum, branch heads shared field-level insights into their business experiences, operational challenges, and emerging opportunities.
They also presented recommendations to strengthen performance across the bank's network.
Addressing the meeting, Riad Mahmud Chowdhury assured participants that their feedback and recommendations would be given due consideration in shaping the bank's future agenda.
He underscored the importance of active participation, continuous self-development, and collective effort in implementing the bank's strategic initiatives and achieving sustainable growth.
He urged teams at the head office and branches to work in close coordination while reinforcing the bank's commitment to Shari'ah compliance and high-quality, technology-driven banking services.
