Standard Islami Bank elects Ferozur Rahman as chairman
Businessman and social worker Ferozur Rahman has been elected chairman of Standard Islami Bank PLC, according to a press release.
Rahman, a sponsor director of the bank and former district governor of Lions Clubs International, District 315 B2, Bangladesh, is also the founder chairman of the Ferozur Rahman Foundation.
During his 31-year political career, Rahman served as chairman of Sultanpur Union Parishad for five terms and later as chairman of Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila Parishad.

He also served for 42 years at New Model Bahumukhi High School in Sukrabad, Dhanmondi, including as chairman of its governing body.
Rahman is the founder and chairman of Ferozur Rahman Residential Academy School and College in Yakubnagar, Sultanpur, Brahmanbaria.
He is also a sponsor of Sonali Insurance Company Limited and is involved with several educational and charitable organisations.
