Stamford University’s EEE department celebrates renewal of IEB accreditation
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Stamford University Bangladesh celebrated the renewal of its accreditation by the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
The department marked the achievement with a day-long programme titled "IEB Accreditation Achievement Ceremony of the Department of EEE: Seminar on Quality Engineering Education" on Saturday (25 July), according to a press release.
Professor Dr Farahnaz Feroz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Stamford University Bangladesh, attended the event as chief guest.

Professor Dr Sharif Nafe As-Saber, Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh, and Professor Dr S M Abdul Razzak, Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), attended as guests of honour.
Engineer Md Ali Zulquarnine, former Chairman of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, and Air Commodore Dr Mohammad Hossam-E-Haider (Retd) spoke at the programme, sharing insights into engineering education and professional development.
Professor Dr Dilshad Mahajabeen, Chairman of the Department of EEE at Stamford University Bangladesh, presided over the ceremony.
The programme began with a campus rally involving students, faculty members and guests. The main ceremony then opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address by the university's Vice-Chancellor.
Speakers congratulated the department on the accreditation renewal and encouraged students and faculty members to continue pursuing excellence in engineering education.
The President of the EEE Alumni Association of Stamford University Bangladesh expressed appreciation for the department's progress and reaffirmed the alum community's commitment to future collaboration.
Professor Dr S M Abdul Razzak congratulated the students, faculty members and administrative staff on their efforts to secure the accreditation renewal.
The first session ended with the presentation of certificates and gifts to the department's stakeholders.
A cultural programme featuring classical dance and musical performances followed in the second session.
The university said the accreditation renewal reflected the department's continued commitment to quality engineering education and academic excellence.
