Scholars Business Club hosts session on LinkedIn career skills
Scholars Business Club at the University of Scholars organised a career-development session in Dhaka on 18 July, focusing on professional networking, personal branding and effective job-search strategies.
The "Exclusive LinkedIn Session", held in collaboration with LinkedIn Community Bangladesh, took place at the university's campus on Kemal Ataturk Avenue in Banani.
The programme featured two sessions led by industry professionals. Jahid Hossain Sunny, Zonal Manager at Banglalink and Lead for Communication at LinkedIn Community Bangladesh, conducted a session titled "LinkedIn for Networking and Effective Job Searching Strategies".
He discussed ways students can establish professional connections, expand their networks and use LinkedIn more effectively when searching for employment opportunities.
SM Muqtadirul Huq, Lead for Event Affairs at LinkedIn Community Bangladesh and Assistant Brand Manager at Akij Venture Group, conducted the second session on personal branding. He shared guidance on developing a professional identity and standing out in both online and offline environments.
Captain Mobashwer A Khandaker, Treasurer and Registrar of the University of Scholars, attended the programme as the chief guest.
Also present were SM Nahidul Islam, Head of the Department of Business Administration; Fahim Ahmad, Lecturer and Club Adviser; SK Shafin Hossain, President of Scholars Business Club; Ashiqul Islam Shihab, General Secretary; and Md Sajib, Treasurer.
SK Shafin Hossain said the initiative reflected the club's commitment to equipping students with practical career skills beyond classroom learning.
Ashiqul Islam Shihab said the participation in the programme demonstrated students' growing interest in career development and personal branding.
