NRBC Bank launches campaign to promote Bangla QR
NRBC Bank has launched a nationwide campaign to promote cashless transactions and boost the adoption of Bangla QR codes, aiming to accelerate Bangladesh's transition to digital payments.
As part of the campaign, a rally was organised in the Motijheel area today (5 July). Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.
Senior officials of NRBC Bank were present at the event.

After the rally, Bangla QR codes were distributed to local merchants to facilitate the acceptance of digital payments.
Speaking at the event, Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan said, "Bangladesh Bank has introduced Bangla QR under the 'One Country, One QR' initiative to build a unified digital payment ecosystem. This fully cashless solution has made the payment system simpler, more secure and more efficient."
"Through NRBC Bank's Planet App, customers can make payments using Bangla QR. The bank is extending the service to small roadside vendors, retail outlets and shopping malls, enabling merchants of all sizes to accept digital payments," he added.
According to NRBC Bank, the initiative aims to help build a modern, inclusive, and cashless financial ecosystem in Bangladesh.
