NCC bank launches entrepreneurship programme in mymensingh
NCC Bank PLC and Bangladesh Bank have launched a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) in Mymensingh to develop new entrepreneurs and boost inclusive economic growth.
The government has launched the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP), which is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) funds.
The programme was inaugurated by Mohammad Kawsar Matin, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Mymensingh, with Sharif Mohammad Mahsin, Senior Vice President and Head of SME, NCC Bank, presiding.
Senior representatives from both banks, including SICIP project leaders, attended the ceremony.
NCC Bank has selected 25 entrepreneurs in Mymensingh for a structured 100-hour training programme, providing them with practical business skills and access to financial resources to support their ventures.
The training is designed to help entrepreneurs access financing more easily and create new jobs in their communities. Additionally, it seeks to include individuals without previous banking relationships by facilitating their entry into formal banking and expanding their access to financial services.
Speakers at the event emphasised that such initiatives are crucial steps toward empowering entrepreneurs, unlocking local economic potential, and driving sustainable socio-economic progress across Bangladesh.
