HSBC extends Export Excellence Awards 2026 nomination deadline to 24 September
HSBC Bangladesh has extended the submission deadline for the "HSBC Export Excellence Awards 2026" to 24 September to accommodate more nomination requests.
The programme recognises and honours exporters from Bangladesh for their contribution to the country's sustainable growth, while HSBC has thanked those who have already submitted nominations, according to the press release.
Exporters can nominate themselves for the title of "Exporter of the Year" in four categories by completing a nomination form.

The categories for the HSBC Export Excellence Awards 2026 are:
Export Excellence: Ready-made Garments
This category is open to exporters with annual export revenue of $100 million and above. It covers apparel products that are part of the mainstream ready-made garments sector.
Export Excellence: Ready-made Garments Backward Linkage
This category is open to exporters with annual export revenue of $50 million and above. It covers products that support the ready-made garments and other manufacturing sectors.
Export Excellence: Non-traditional and Emerging Sectors – Manufacturing
This category is open to exporters with annual export revenue of $10 million and above. Eligible sectors include electronics, light engineering, plastics, furniture, footwear, leather goods, agro-processing and automotive components, among others.
Export Excellence: Non-traditional and Emerging Sectors – Service
This category is open to exporters with annual export revenue of $5 million and above. It covers professional, digital and knowledge-based services.
The HSBC Export Excellence Awards is supported by programme partners the Ministry of Commerce of the Government of Bangladesh and the British High Commission Dhaka.
Ernst & Young (EY) will serve as the technical partner and will be responsible for auditing.
Adjudication will be carried out by a jury board comprising members of HSBC's senior management team, the Ministry of Commerce and the British High Commission Dhaka.
Winners will be selected based on criteria including annual contribution to national exports and the economy, diversity, responsibility, sustainable business practices, governance strengths and regulatory compliance.
The awards programme is not exclusive to HSBC customers and is open to all enterprises and entrepreneurs operating in Bangladesh.
There is no entry fee or financial award associated with the programme.

The nomination phase closes on 24 September, 2026.
