Hipo launches AI interview platform with focus on Bangla conversations
Talent technology company Hipo launched its artificial intelligence-powered interview platform today (4 October) to help employers screen candidates more efficiently and give job seekers opportunities to demonstrate their skills through real-time conversations.
Three organisations have joined the platform, and more than 14,000 job candidates have interviewed through Hipo AI, according to the press release.
The company said the platform reduces the time required for candidate screening, which can prolong recruitment and frustrate employers and applicants.
Hipo aims to help recruiters assess candidates faster, broaden access to interviews and reduce bias through consistent evaluation.
The platform conducts interactive, personalised conversations to explore candidates' capabilities. It gives recruiters evidence of role-relevant knowledge, communication and problem-solving skills to support shortlisting decisions.
Hipo said this approach would allow hiring teams to screen more applicants while keeping recruiters involved in assessing the results.
"We founded Hipo from a simple idea of democratising the hiring process," said Hipo Co-Founder and CEO Md Ziaul Pervez Chowdhury.
"We cannot solve the unemployment problem that exists in Bangladesh before ensuring a fair chance for the job seekers. We are breaking the barriers of native-language interviews with a special focus on Bangla conversations, which is the first of its kind in Bangladesh."
The company offers real-time interviews through mobile applications to make the service more accessible. Hipo described its mobile interview offering as the first of its kind globally in human resources technology.
Candidates can create an account, explore job opportunities and receive an invite to take AI-led interviews through the platform. Recruiters can register, post vacancies and begin screening applicants.
