DITF food stalls emerge as major crowd-pullers
The 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair, currently underway at Purbachal in Dhaka, is attracting increasing numbers of visitors each day, with food stalls emerging as a major attraction.
Offering a wide range of food items at budget-friendly prices, brands such as Tasty Treat, Fry Bucket, Mithai, and Jhatpot have become highlights of the fair.
Visitors are showing strong interest in the stall of popular fast-food brand Tasty Treat, where footfall remains consistently high. At its premium restaurant category stall (No. 5), visitors are enjoying a variety of popular dishes at reasonable prices, with chicken doner kebab, momo, waffle, and egg sausage roll among the top choices. Special offerings such as beef tehari and morog pulao, priced at Tk200, are also drawing significant attention. Meanwhile, another Tasty Treat outlet under the coffee shop category (Stall No. 2) is also receiving an enthusiastic response.
Located beside Tasty Treat, fast-food brand Fry Bucket is attracting a steady stream of customers with items including fried chicken, momo, waffle, and wraps. A "buy two, get one free" offer has further boosted interest among food lovers.
Commenting on the response, Md Sami-Ur-Rahman, Head of Marketing of Tasty Treat and Fry Bucket, said, "Along with shopping, our stalls have become an added attraction for visitors at the trade fair. Our commitment to fresh and hygienic food preparation and service is drawing visitors to our stalls with their families and loved ones."
Another highlight of the fair is the premier restaurant stall (No. 1) of renowned sweets brand Mithai, which is attracting visitors of all age groups. The elegantly designed stall features a wide range of traditional sweets alongside several savoury items. Fair-exclusive offerings include spicy fuchka, doi fuchka, momo, Mexican sub-sandwich, Mexican julienne chicken burger, rice bowl, and morog pulao. Special discounts, including a Tk499 gift box and a Tk999 combo offer, are also available.
Adjacent to the Mithai stall, frozen food brand Jhatpot is offering a variety of popular items at prices starting from Tk30. Popular choices among visitors include spicy chicken, meatballs, nuggets, sausages, chicken lollipop, mini chicken samosa, and chicken rolls. Budget-friendly lunch options are available from Tk130, while freshly prepared momo and pizza are also being served. Special discounts are being offered on frozen items including momo, paratha, nuggets, and meatballs.
