Daffodil University ranked top private university in Bangladesh by URAP
Daffodil International University has ranked first among private universities in Bangladesh in the World Ranking by Academic Performance 2025–26, the university said in a statement.
The university also ranked fourth among all public and private universities in Bangladesh and 1,461st globally, according to the ranking.
The University Ranking by Academic Performance, known as URAP, is a research-based global university ranking system that assesses higher education institutions based on academic productivity and research performance.
The university said its latest position reflects progress in research quality, scholarly publications and international academic collaboration.
The ranking evaluates universities using six key research and academic performance indicators: number of articles, citation impact, total scientific documents, article impact total, citation impact total and international collaboration.
These indicators measure the volume and quality of research output, global research influence, citation performance and the extent of international research partnerships.
Daffodil International University said the recognition reflected its long-term commitment to building a research-intensive academic environment, expanding international collaboration, increasing high-quality scholarly publications and promoting academic excellence.
The university authorities thanked faculty members, researchers, officers, staff, students, alumni, national and international partners, and other stakeholders for their contributions to research, academic excellence and institutional development.
Daffodil International University said it would continue to advance research, innovation and quality education while strengthening global academic partnerships.
The university also said continued investment in research excellence and international collaboration would help it contribute to Bangladesh's higher education sector and strengthen its presence in the global academic community.
