Brac University alumni reunion marks silver jubilee
Brac University today hosted its inaugural Alumni Reunion at the Merul Badda campus in Dhaka, launching celebrations for its forthcoming silver jubilee.
Alumni from all 17 convocations to date, accompanied by their families, attended the event and reconnected with faculty and university leadership.
"Each of you has contributed to Brac University's remarkable journey over the past 25 years. Your achievements, dedication and ongoing engagement inspire us to pursue greater excellence in the years ahead," said Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar.
Brac University's strength lies in its people—students, faculty and staff—for whom a new mission and vision have been adopted under the theme "Reimagining Excellence", said Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury.
The reunion included a football match, interactive activities for children, cultural performances, a raffle draw, a performance by Shironamhin, and a screening of this year's "Bonolota Express" film.
Speakers included Registrar Dr David Dowland, Professor Emeritus Ainun Nishat, Brac Business School Dean Professor Mohammad Mujibul Haque, Department of Computer Science and Engineering Chair Associate Professor Sadia Hamid Kazi, Brac Institute of Languages Adviser Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed, Student Life Head Tahsina Rahman, and a representative of the alumni community.
