Bangladesh International Tutorial to host fifth edition of BITMUN
Bangladesh International Tutorial (BIT) is set to host the fifth edition of the Bangladesh International Tutorial Model United Nations (BITMUN V), one of the country's most anticipated student conferences celebrating youth diplomacy, leadership, and global awareness.
Commencing on 9 October, the three-day event will bring together over 850 participants, including 670 delegates, 50 Executive Board Members, and 100 volunteers and staff, representing more than 70 leading schools and colleges from across Bangladesh. Institutions such as Academia, Aga Khan School, Australian International School, Milestone, International School Dhaka (ISD), Mastermind, Scholastica, Sunbeams, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, and Notre Dame College will take part in this intellectual forum. The event will also feature participants from Narayanganj, Chattogram, Khulna, Sylhet, and Rangpur—reflecting the growing national reach of BITMUN.
Themed "Start a Legacy, Leave a Legacy," BITMUN V aims to foster critical thinking, negotiation, and leadership among youth through a wide range of committees including the UN Security Council (UNSC), Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), BRICS Summit, International Press Conference (IPC), and Historical UNSC.
The event is supported by several sponsors and partners. Dhaka Bank PLC serves as the title sponsor, with Ryne AI and Excellence Consultants as prime sponsors. Other valued partners include HP DesignJet, Sunlit (Pvt) Limited, Tasnim Builders, and Savoy Ice Cream. Media partners are The Business Standard, Channel 24, Dhaka Chronicles, Cablegram, and Infogram.
Although no external keynote speakers are featured this year, BIT's Managing Director and CEO Ms Anika Rahman and Board Director Ms Talita Choudhury will inaugurate the event. The conference will spotlight students as the true voices of BITMUN V - the future diplomats and changemakers working towards a more informed, empathetic, and cooperative world.
BIT extended appreciation to its event coordinators, teachers, and MUN Committee members whose dedication and meticulous planning have ensured the smooth execution of this grand event.
As BITMUN V commences, Bangladesh International Tutorial invites everyone to celebrate the spirit of dialogue, diplomacy, and determination that continues to define this remarkable student-led legacy.
