AIUB signs agreement to advance joint research with Chitkara University
American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and Chitkara University have signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance academic and research collaboration.
Chitkara University formalised the agreement at the Chancellor's Secretariat, located on the Chandigarh-Patiala National Highway, Jansla, Rajpura, Punjab, and issued a press release on 21 May 2026.
Professor Dr Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB, signed the memorandum on behalf of AIUB.

Dr Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor of Chitkara University, represented the university at the signing of the agreement.
During a two-day visit to Chitkara University, Prof Dr Saiful Islam met with Dr Madhu Chitkara, Prof Dr Amit Mittal, Dr Charu Khosla, PhD students, research groups, and other officials.
The two universities discussed potential areas of collaboration, such as joint research to enhance academic innovation, joint PhD programmes offering advanced training opportunities, faculty and student exchanges to broaden perspectives, international conferences for knowledge sharing, and other academic partnerships to strengthen institutional capabilities.
