AIBL seeks stronger coordination on Hajj services
Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC has called for closer coordination among the government, banks and Hajj agencies to ensure secure, timely and uninterrupted banking services for pilgrims.
The Shariah-based bank made the call at a discussion on Hajj management held at a hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday (22 July).
Munshi Alauddin Al Azad, NDC, Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, attended the event as chief guest, while Syed Golam Sarwar, President of the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB), was present as special guest.
Mohammad Rafat Ullah Khan, Managing Director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, presided over the meeting.
Munshi Alauddin Al Azad said close coordination among the government, banks and Hajj agencies was essential to provide pilgrims with convenient, secure and uninterrupted services.
He commended Al-Arafah Islami Bank for its efforts to make Hajj management more efficient, transparent and customer-friendly through technology-driven banking services.
Mohammad Rafat Ullah Khan said providing reliable and timely banking services to Hajj pilgrims was one of the bank's top priorities.
He said the bank had integrated technology, operational efficiency and customer-focused services into its Hajj banking solutions to respond to evolving customer needs.
The bank remained committed to supporting pilgrims at every stage of their Hajj journey and continuously improving service standards, he added.
The meeting included discussions on improving banking services for pilgrims, expanding technology-enabled solutions and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders involved in Hajj management.
Participants also emphasised the need to provide faster, more efficient and seamless services.
Al-Arafah Islami Bank Deputy Managing Directors Md Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Md Aminul Islam Bhuiyan, SM Abu Jafar and Syed Abul Hashem, FCA, FCMA, attended the event alongside senior bank executives, branch managers and representatives of Hajj agencies from across the country.
