RAB arrests 'top drug dealer' Chua Selim in Geneva Camp
RAB-2 Commanding Officer Additional DIG Naimul Hasan told The Business Standard that Chua Selim had been staying at the hideout while evading law enforcement agencies.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Md Selim Ashrafi, alias Chua Selim, the leader of the Chua Selim group and a "top drug dealer" in Geneva Camp in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
He was arrested during a raid on a hideout in Geneva Camp early today (20 August). The operation was conducted under the leadership of RAB-2 Crime Prevention Squad (CPS) Company Commander Hasan Muhtarem.

As Geneva Camp is densely populated and considered a challenging area for law enforcement operations, it was difficult to conduct the raid and arrest him, he said. The suspect was eventually arrested through a special operation strategy, he added.
Selim is one of the top drug dealers in Geneva Camp and has several cases filed against him with Mohammadpur Police Station, including murder and drug-related cases, according to RAB.
