Queues shorten as supply rises; no lines at some fuel stations
Officials and pump operators say higher allocations and improved depot dispatches have started to stabilise the situation, reducing congestion at many stations across the capital.
Fuel queues in Dhaka have eased significantly as supply increases, with some filling stations now operating without any waiting lines.
At the busy Khalek Service Center Petrol Pump in Kallyanpur, no queues were seen today (27 April), as vehicles moved in and out freely with adequate fuel available.

5 days ago, on Tuesday (22 April), the queue at Ramna Filling Station stretched from Matsya Bhaban past Shilpakala Academy to Birdem Hospital, but was noticeably shorter than in previous days.
Motorcycles were receiving fuel worth Tk800–Tk1,000, while cars were supplied up to Tk2,000.
Pump owner Nazmul Haque said daily supply has increased from 18,000 litres to 22,500 litres. "From my long experience, to eliminate long waiting times at filling stations, the government will have to increase supply further," he said.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit said on 22 April that the government has secured sufficient fuel supply to meet demand in May, with preparations underway for June and July.
Highlighting stock, distribution, and global situation, the state minister said fuel prices in the global market have increased by an average of 186.59% since the start of the Iran war.
