BNP forms content generation sub-committee ahead of national election
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has formed an eight-member content generation sub-committee under its Central Election Steering Committee ahead of the 13th parliamentary election
The party announced the committee through a notice issued on 25 January 2026.
According to the notice, the sub-committee will work to make the activities of the Central Election Steering Committee more dynamic and effective and assist candidates nominated or supported by the BNP.
Dr Saimum Parvez, special assistant to the BNP Chairperson's Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee, has been appointed as the team lead of the sub-committee.

Dr Ziauddin Haider — Senior health and nutrition specialist at the World Bank and a former adviser to the BNP chairperson.

Anik Khan — Writer and columnist.

Engineer Salahuddin Ahmed Raihan — Columnist and political analyst.

Shahriyar Pamir — Chief editor of the BNP Analysis Cell.

Rubayat Mannan Rafi — Chairman of the Bangladesh Dialogue Foundation.

Barrister S M Saif Kader Rubab — Human rights affairs secretary of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal's Dhaka University unit. He is also associated with The Bangladesh Dialogue.

Anonno Afroz — Journalist, political analyst and communications professional specialising in international relations. He previously served as senior vice-president of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal's Hadol unit in Faridpur, Pabna. He also served as president of the Students' Association of Bangladesh in Malaysia and was the sole successful candidate from the BNP-backed panel in the organisation's election.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, also the member secretary of the party's Central Election Steering Committee, signed the notice.
