Mirza Abbas, BNP Standing Committee member and prime minister's adviser, is set to return to Bangladesh on 2 September after undergoing treatment in Singapore and Malaysia for several months.
BNP Media Cell Member Shayrul Kabir Khan and Mirza Abbas's personal secretary Mizanur Rahman Sohel said today (30 August) that he is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka at 9pm on 2 September on a Biman flight.
According to Sohel, Mirza Abbas has been recovering following treatment as advised by a medical board.

He said the family, well-wishers and political colleagues are relieved and pleased at the news of his return.
He also sought prayers for Mirza Abbas's full recovery and safe return home.
Mirza Abbas was admitted to Prince Court Medical Centre in Malaysia on 14 April for physiotherapy following treatment in Singapore.
Earlier, on 11 March, he suddenly fell unconscious during iftar and was admitted to Evercare Hospital Dhaka. A medical team subsequently performed emergency brain surgery on him.
Following the surgery, he was flown to Singapore General Hospital by air ambulance on 15 March for further treatment.
After nearly a month of intensive care in Singapore, doctors advised him to undergo physiotherapy, leading to his admission to the specialised medical centre in Malaysia.
He has been undergoing treatment in Singapore and Malaysia for various health complications for several months.
