IT Consultants PLC rejoinder
IT Consultants PLC (ITC) has sent a rejoinder regarding recently published media reports concerning a reported Russian contract dispute and its alleged connection with Bangladesh's digital payment infrastructure.
Here is the full rejoinder:
"IT Consultants PLC (ITC) has taken note of reports published by various media outlets and newspapers concerning a reported Russian contract dispute and its alleged connection with Bangladesh's digital payment infrastructure.
ITC categorically rejects the assertions made in the report concerning the technology and software used in its systems. The information published is factually incorrect and misleading.
ITC does not use any Russian software solutions in its payment infrastructure, nor does it have any contract with a Russian company. ITC relies exclusively on proprietary, in-house-developed software solutions, together with technology from a UK-based company.
ITC further confirms that there was no hacking, cyberattack, unauthorized access, sabotage, or other unlawful interference with its systems, nor was the reported disruption caused by any such activity.
ITC is deeply concerned that inaccurate information relating to technology that underpins critical national payment infrastructure was published without adequate verification. Such reporting risks creating unnecessary public confusion and may unfairly damage the reputation of the company.
IT Consultants PLC remains fully committed to delivering secure, reliable and world-class payment technology and infrastructure in support of Bangladesh's financial sector."
