Dengue claims 3 more lives, 534 hospitalised in 24 hrs
The latest fatalities have pushed this year's dengue death toll to 50, while total infections have risen to 14,690.
Three people have died from dengue and 534 new patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the latest data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The figures were released today (29 July) by the DGHS.
Of the three deaths, one was reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation area, one in Barishal division and one in Mymensingh division.
The latest fatalities have raised this year's dengue death toll to 50.
With the newly reported infections, the total number of confirmed dengue cases in the country has reached 14,690 this year, the DGHS said.
Health authorities have continued to urge people to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and seek prompt medical attention if they develop symptoms of dengue.
