Dengue claims 2 more lives as 693 hospitalised in 24 hrs
The latest deaths take this year’s dengue toll to 65, with total cases crossing 22,000.
Two more people have died from dengue in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, while 693 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest figures were disclosed in a press release issued today (13 August) by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the DGHS.
Of the two deaths reported during the period, one occurred in Dhaka North City Corporation and the other in Dhaka South City Corporation.

With the latest fatalities, the country's dengue death toll has risen to 65 this year.
Meanwhile, 669 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 20,563.
The number of dengue cases reported in Bangladesh this year has now reached 22,243, according to the DGHS.
