Ex-Gazipur-5 MP Akhtaruzzaman arrested in Dhaka

Detectives arrested former Gazipur-5 lawmaker Akhtaruzzaman from the capital's Gulshan area last night (5 August).
According to the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), a DB team conducted a raid on a house in Gulshan around 10:00pm and arrested the former MP.

He is also accused in multiple cases, including murder.
Legal proceedings against the arrested former lawmaker are underway, the sources added.
