Fuel prices remain unchanged for August
Diesel will continue to retail at Tk115 per litre, octane at Tk145, petrol at Tk140 and kerosene at Tk135 from 1 August.
The government has kept the retail prices of all petroleum fuels unchanged for August, maintaining the rates fixed in May.
According to a notification issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD) today (30 July), the existing prices of diesel, octane, petrol and kerosene will remain effective from 1 August.
Under the latest pricing, diesel will continue to retail at Tk115 per litre, octane at Tk145 per litre, petrol at Tk140 per litre and kerosene at Tk135 per litre.
The notification said the decision was taken with the approval of the appropriate authority following a proposal submitted by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) on 27 July.
Fuel prices were last revised through an EMRD notification issued on 31 May. The government has decided to retain the same rates for August.
