No decision yet on MPO teachers’ role in managing committees: Edu minister
He said students were confused because part of a meeting resolution was omitted from media reports.
Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has said that no final decision has yet been made on including MPO-listed teachers in the managing committees of educational institutions.
He made the remarks today (11 August) at a seminar titled "Education for Building a Prosperous Economy: Skills, Linguistic Competence and Global Mobility" at the BARC Auditorium in the capital.
The minister said students were confused because part of a meeting resolution was omitted from media reports.

Milon said, "The information published about including MPO-listed teachers in managing committees was part of the meeting's resolution, but a portion of the discussion was omitted. A gazette notification will be issued only after the matter is reviewed and examined at the ministerial level."
He said students at Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka University and Jagannath University had staged processions after the news was published in newspapers with that portion omitted.
Earlier yesterday (10 August), the education minister had said that no final decision had yet been made on restoring the authority to recruit teachers to the managing committees of private educational institutions.
He said the recruitment process for 77,000 teachers would be determined after the selection process.
