Ctg HSC exams not resuming on 27 July, viral notice fake: Inter-education board panel
Social media posts on the matter are misleading, the panel says in an urgent clarification.
The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Committee has warned the public against a fake social media notice claiming that HSC and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board will begin on 27 July.
In an urgent clarification issued today (21 July), the committee said the viral posts falsely claimed the exams would start on 27 July under a previously announced schedule.
A notice signed by Professor Jasmine Taslima Banu, controller of examinations of the Chattogram Education Board, said neither the board nor the Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Committee had issued the notice being circulated in the committee's name.
The committee said all official exam-related decisions, notices and directives are published only on the official websites and verified Facebook pages of the education ministry, the Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Committee and the respective education boards.
It also urged the public not to believe or share unverified information circulating on social media.
All remaining Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board have been postponed indefinitely due to the post-flood situation, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said in a notice issued on 16 July.
The Chattogram Education Board oversees public examinations in Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari districts.
