Govt working to hold SSC, HSC exams within set timeframe: Edu minister
The minister said there is no alternative to modern education in developing skilled manpower and that the government is giving the highest priority to the education sector for this reason.
Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has said the government is working to remove longstanding backlogs in the education system and ensure that Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
While speaking as the chief guest at the signing ceremony of the "On-Grid Opex Model Solar Panel Project" at Dhaka Residential Model College today (13 May), he said, "Without proper education, no country can achieve progress.
"Bangladesh can become one of the best countries in the world if its young people are turned into skilled and productive human resources."

The minister said the government is placing importance on completing public examinations on time in order to eliminate long-standing irregularities and congestion in the education system.
Education Secretary Abdul Khaleque, who chaired the event, stressed the successful implementation of the solar project and the importance of supplying surplus electricity elsewhere.
At the event, an agreement was signed between Dhaka Residential Model College and Omera Renewable Energy Ltd for the installation of solar panels.
