The items include chemicals, machinery, plastic scrap, art paper, fabrics, household goods and car parts
Chattogram Customs House is holding an e-auction of 378 containers this month to reduce congestion at Chattogram Port and improve safety and efficiency.
Under E-Auction 2/2026, 180 containers in 49 lots will be sold.
The items include chemicals, machinery, plastic scrap, art paper, fabrics, household goods and car parts.
No reserved prices have been set.
Under E-Auction 3/2026, a total of 198 containers in 74 lots, including capital machinery, passenger elevators, metal scrap and other goods, will be auctioned.
The auctions will be fully digital. Buyers can inspect items on-site during March and submit bids online through the Bangladesh Customs E-Auction portal: http://auction.nbr.gov.bd/auction/301. Pay orders and required documents must also be submitted to the bid boxes.
The bid box for E-Auction 2/2026 opens on 31 March at 2pm and for E-Auction 3/2026 on 8 April at 2pm.
Chattogram Customs said this auction process will continue to help clear container backlogs and make the port more efficient.
