Natundhara Bangladesh chief Momin Mehedi, 5 others denied bail in anti-terrorism case
They were arrested on 5 August and sent to jail in the same case.
A Dhaka court today (10 August) rejected bail applications filed on behalf of six individuals, including Momin Mehedi, chairman of Natundhara Bangladesh, and its senior vice-chairman Shanta Farzana, in a case brought under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Shahbagh Police Station.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain passed the order, following a hearing.
The six were shown arrested in a case filed by a man named Babul Sardar on 4 August. The following day, a court ordered that the six leaders of the organisation be sent to jail.

According to the case statement, the accused were described as alleged supporters of the activities-banned Awami League and conspirators against the current government. The organisation they represent is called Natundhara Bangladesh.
The complaint alleged that Shanta Farzana entered Dhaka Medical College Hospital and described the current Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, as an "illegal prime minister" and the July movement as a "militant movement".
It further alleged that Shanta Farzana and Momin Mehedi had previously made statements in various media outlets in support of the Awami League and portrayed Sheikh Hasina as the legitimate prime minister.
It also stated that the accused allegedly organised a procession in front of the National Press Club and attacked protesters, including SDF Member Secretary Al Nur Mohammad Ayas and several July movement activists, with sticks, steel pipes, chairs and hockey sticks, leaving multiple people injured.
