Bangladeshi worker killed in Houthi attack on Saudi Aramco facility
The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh is coordinating with Saudi authorities to repatriate the deceased’s body
A Bangladeshi national was killed after a missile or drone launched by the Houthis struck a Saudi Aramco facility in Al Khurais in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province yesterday (4 October).
The deceased was identified as Md Sajib Hossain, a resident of Cumilla, according to a press release from the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued today (5 October).
The ministry expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death and condemned the attack.
It also conveyed condolences to the deceased's family and relatives.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia has already contacted Sajib's family members and employer and is providing necessary assistance, the ministry said.
The embassy is coordinating with the relevant Saudi authorities to complete the formalities and arrange for the repatriation of his body to Bangladesh, it added.
