3 of Bangladeshi family killed in Saudi road crash on way to Umrah
A Bangladeshi family travelling from Riyadh to Makkah to perform Umrah met with a fatal road accident after their car was reportedly struck from behind by a heavy vehicle.
Three members of a Bangladeshi family were killed in a road accident while travelling from Riyadh to Makkah to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia on Thursday (23 July).
The deceased were identified as Tania Tahmina Rina, 45, her son Tasbik, 20, and daughter Zara, 15.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Rina's brother Towhid Mohammad Murad said her sister's husband Shafiqul Islam Khokon, and their elder son, Nabil, were also injured in the crash. " They are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Saudi Arabia."

According to Murad, the family's car was struck from behind by a heavy vehicle while travelling to Makkah.
"My sister, her younger son and daughter died at the scene. My brother-in-law and elder nephew were injured and have been admitted to hospital," he said.
Nasim Ahmed Kabir, a cousin of the deceased, said the family had left Riyadh in the morning for Makkah to perform Umrah. "About 300 kilometres after leaving Riyadh, their vehicle was involved in the accident."
Tania Tahmina Rina was the third daughter of the late Nazimuddin Molla of Atghar Union in Faridpur's Saltha upazila. Her husband's family hails from Bhairab in Kishoreganj.
