10-year convict in Dhaka drug case arrested in Ctg
RAB-7 arrested Md Nur Nabi alias Ripon from the Foy’s Lake area in Chattogram on Sunday night
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 has arrested Md Nur Nabi alias Ripon, a fugitive convict sentenced to 10 years in prison in a narcotics case filed with Mohammadpur Police Station in Dhaka, from the Khulshi area of Chattogram city.
RAB confirmed the matter in a press release sent to the media this morning (7 September).
According to RAB, acting on a tip-off, a team learned that Ripon was staying in the Khulshi area to evade arrest. The team later conducted a raid near Foy's Lake at around 8pm last night (6 September) and arrested him.

RAB said Ripon had been sentenced to 10 years in prison in a case filed over narcotics-related offences and had been on the run since the verdict was delivered.
Ripon, 29, is a resident of Pahartali area under Khulshi Police Station in Chattogram city. His father is Md Farooq.
He was handed over to Khulshi Police Station for further legal action, RAB said.
